"I am confident you have plenty of information to pass the test, it's just whether or not you can remember it or not." G. Stoddard
oh joy. This is from my brilliant P&C instructor. As he informed us, we are cramming a whole semester worth of material into 3 days! I've taken several practice exams for different sections of the material & I have not passed more than half. Heavy sigh. However, I have learned from those wrong answers, so better to miss them now, then to miss them during the real thing, right?
This has been so frustrating, to say the least. I have taken the test 3 times already, and have not been able to pass. It was so hard to focus at home with so much that has to be done there. Getting away has been good, but I have still struggled to study outside of the class time.
Let's see: Concepts, indemnity, law of large numbers, coinsurance, perils, coverage, exclusions, deductibles, auto, home, commercial, commercial auto, dwelling, etc, etc, and so on and so on...
"A cease & desist order must contain all of the following EXCEPT..." "Making a misrepresentation to induce a policyholder to lapse a policy is considered..." Oh, and definitely NO comingling!
Maybe I should just study through this blog, hehe...
No, but anyway, I realize we don't have enough insurance. I'm also anxious to get back home & actually read through all my policies! I may be adding some things.
As I type this in my nice quiet hotel (well, sort of, I can still hear the traffic off of I-35) my babies are having to fend for themselves. Well, they are old enough at 21, 19, & 17. I'm kind of a little hesitant to walk through my door & find everything in maybe a little bit of chaos...but I'm sure everything is fine. Still, it has been nice to not have any household chores to do. Well, like cooking dinner, washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom (not that any of that is done too much on a regular basis, but still it looms like a dark cloud over my head)
So, what have I learned (other than all those insurance terms in my head)? Lord, give me joy in everything. Lord, give me a servant's heart. Lord, draw me closer to You.
Yep, in just a couple of days I will breeze through that monster test! I will have victory through Jesus Christ!

Sidebar or would this be more of a p.s.? Anyways, this blog has been a draft for over a month! I did pass that exam (with a 76, I might add) I've been working at the office, but there is so much to do, it can get overwhelming (one day at a time, one day at a time, one day at a time)
Also, since this blog was written, our Broncho band has already had their UIL marching competition & made a division I!! OHS hosted the 1A Area UIL Marching competition the weekend after that.
Emma has had several cross country meets where she has placed in the top 10 and she & the team qualify for Regionals this Saturday in Lubbock, woohoo! She had a soccer game in Frisco yesterday (they lost 3-0) We had a fellowship for our beloved pastor this evening. And now I'm doing laundry (well the washer is doing it as I type this, thank you Jesus for electricity and running water, which allows me to own a washer & dryer) It's the little things :)
I was having a great time doing Emma's Hamlet review (I love Shakespeare!) but since it was taking me forever to answer each question, she thought better of it & decided she better work on it instead, hahaha, it took me 30 minutes to answer two questions! Oh well...I better get to bed, gotta be up at 4:15 to make my Sebby lunch now that he's working with his dad & is out on the field all day! Jesus, thank you for the week ahead, may You be in it guiding me all the way!
