Time Flies (March 29, 2010)

Time flies

A year ago in June I blogged how we had just gone and seen the OHS graduation and how in just one year my Mari would be there.  Well, it is upon me now.  Just about a month and a half more and my oldest baby will be graduating from high school and ending that chapter of her life.  Will I get teary eyed?  Of course!  In fact, I am teary eyed right now, just thinking about it.    Just 18 yrs and some months ago, I was holding this sweet baby girl in my arms and I remember thinking that the time was going to go fast and I just held her appreciating this precious gift from God, and absorbed that moment and I can remember it as if it was yesterday.  Ahh, how the time flies.  I thank God that He has blessed me with the gift of seeing my baby girl grow into a beautiful young lady.   From running haphazardly in Walmart, to playing soccer, to being dedicated to her school work, to playing her oboe, to tossing in color guard, to looking into colleges, to a broken heart and to pursuing her dreams and working toward a mission trip to Africa, thank You, LORD, for allowing us to watch Mari in all the things You have placed her.  Grant us peace as You use her, strengthen her, and help her to grow in Your will for her life.   Ah, it will be a new adventure for us all
